In partnership with Target, our goal was to create a shareable, design-focused experience that encourages editors to discover the new collection and post to social. We wanted to create an unexpected experience for short lead editors to discover the new kitchenware Made By Design collection of products. Our overarching strategy was to highlight the functionality and ingenuity of the collection through interactive touch points and thematic settings. We collaborated with Camille Styles and our catering team to put together a plating class that taught editors how to style their food using products from the collection. This provided guests with an opportunity to be hands on with the products, as well as learn something new.
After the class, editors could use our styled table to take pictures of their creation and post to social using the #MadeByDesign hashtag to show off the kitchen products, we created a cairn like installation that highlighted the stack-ability of the products. Editors were able to try stacking the products themselves as well. We built out a modular closet moment to display all of the different product for closet storage, and how it can be customized for each home. The linen vignette was created to highlight the super-soft duvets and highly absorbent towels. Additionally, this area showed off some of the new bath storage options and the convenient soap pump.
