GRAMMYs Celebration 2018
As the GRAMMYs headed back to NYC after a 15 year break, we celebrated with a weekend-long experience that wove in the cultural and musical fabric of New York with Delta’s commitment to connecting people. The “Return to New York” theme was applied to every guest interaction and event throughout the weekend, further establishing Delta as an official partner of the GRAMMYs and as New York’s #1 airline.
As the Official Airline Partner of the GRAMMY Awards and Supporter of First-Time Nominees, Delta kicked off the weekend’s celebrations with a high energy party at The Bowery Hotel, featuring a performance by Julia Michaels, one of this year’s hottest talents. As a nod to Delta’s support of the music industry, in addition to Julia Michaels’ performance, the event was opened and closed by carefully selected DJ talent. The party was kicked off by MSG resident DJ Tiff McFierce, and was continued well into the night with renowned New York DJ and radio host, DJ Funk Flex.
The Bowery was brought to life with touchpoints of the ‘return to New York’ theme. As guests made their way throughout the space they were able to interact with a custom NYC-inspired videobooth, take photos with the GRAMMYs gramophone and cymbal installation and dance with the interactive LED wall that created bursts of light while you moved. The event also incorporated interactive entertainment including a three card monte magician and Showtime Showtime dancers, both of which are nods to New York culture.
